The Serpentine Spring Coupling is a flexible coupling with metal elastic elements. It consists of several groups of
serpentine springs wound between the teeth of the two halves of the coupling to transmit motion and power.
The two halves of the coupling are made on the flange. There are teeth of a specific shape. Snake springs are
embedded between the teeth, and the outside is covered by a closed shell to prevent the snake spring from being
thrown away under the action of centrifugal force during the operation of the coupling. out. At the same time,
there is lubricating oil inside the protective cover to lubricate the contact between the spring and the tooth surface
to avoid dry friction.

When the serpentine spring works, the teeth on the two half couplings and the serpentine spring squeeze each other,
thereby transmitting the torque of the driving shaft to the driven shaft. The tooth shapes on the two halves of the
Serpentine Spring Coupling are generally linear and curved. When the linear teeth are operating normally, the contact
point between the serpentine spring and the two half coupling teeth does not change with the change of the transmission
torque. The transmission torque has a linear relationship with the relative torsion angle of the two half couplings. Therefore,
the stiffness of the coupling remains unchanged. The snake spring coupling with this tooth shape becomes a constant
stiffness snake spring coupling. It is easy to manufacture and is suitable for situations where the torque changes little. Curved
teeth. During normal operation, the bending of the snake spring on the tooth block surface approximates line contact in the
direction of the section plane. The distance between the contact points between the snake spring and the teeth on the two
halves of the coupling will increase as the torque increases. Reducing, the torque has a nonlinear relationship with the relative
torsion angle of the two half couplings, so the stiffness of the coupling changes. The snake spring coupling with this tooth
shape becomes a stiffness snake spring coupling.

There are nine types of Serpentine Spring Couplings, which can be divided into:
JS cover radial mounting type (basic type) serpentine spring coupling
JSB cover axially mounted serpentine spring coupling
JSS double flange connection type snake spring coupling
JSD single flange connection type serpentine spring coupling
SJS connected to intermediate shaft type serpentine spring coupling
JSG high speed serpentine spring coupling
JSZ serpentine spring coupling with brake wheel
JSP serpentine spring coupling with brake disc
JSA safety serpentine spring coupling, etc.

The Snake Spring Coupling connects two coaxial medium and high-power transmission shaft systems. It has certain compensation
for the relative offset of the two axes and vibration damping and buffering properties. The working temperature is -30℃~+150℃,
and it transmits nominal rotational speed. Moment 45~800000N.m. Mainly used in stone crushers, crank reciprocating motion,
reducers, metallurgy, mining, lifting machinery, etc.
