The steps to select suitable JM type single diaphragm coupling are as follows:
1. According to the size and nature of the transmitted torque and the demand for the damping function, the gear coupling can be selected for the high-power and heavy-duty transmission; For severe impact loads or the transmission requiring cleaning of torsional vibration of shafting, the couplings with high elastic energy can be selected.
2. According to the size of the working speed of the coupling and the size of the centrifugal force caused by the coupling, the coupling with high balance accuracy should be selected for the high-speed transmission shaft, such as: diaphragm coupling, should not be selected with eccentric sliding block coupling.
3. According to the magnitude and direction of the relative displacement of the two axes. When the installation and adjustment, it is difficult to keep the two shafts strictly aligned or the two shafts will have a large additional relative displacement during the working process, flexible coupling should be selected. For example, when the radial displacement is large, the sliding block coupling can be selected, and the universal coupling can be selected for the connection of the larger Angle or the intersection of two axes.
4. Reliability and working environment of coupling. Usually made of metal components without lubrication coupling is more reliable, need lubrication coupling performance is easy to be affected by the degree of lubrication, and may pollute the environment. Coupling containing rubber and other non-metallic components are sensitive to temperature, corrosive media and strong light, and easy to aging.
JM single diaphragm coupling due to manufacturing and installation, load deformation or temperature changes, after installation adjustment, it is difficult to keep the two shafts strictly aligned. There are relative degrees of displacement and deflection in X and Y directions. When the radial displacement is large, the slider coupling can be selected, the angular displacement is large or the joint of two axes can be selected universal coupling, etc. Flexible coupling should be selected when the two axes have large additional relative displacement in the working process.
